There have been a variety of game modes added to the server over time. The most popular and longest-running is the one called 'Creative that allows players to fly and build whatever they like. This is due to the fact that the map has been reset several times over the years, so it's not the same place that it was ago. Nerd.nu's Creative gamemode is currently in its 36th revision, which means that it has previously been reset 35 times. Due to the server resets mentioned earlier the decision was made that Nerd.nu cannot be considered as the oldest server, since its world is still relatively new. Since it's founding on December 10, 2010, 2b2t has been infamous as an anarchy-based server, where there is an extreme lack of rules, thousands of players roaming with hacked clients, in a lack of respect which gives the server its distinct, beaten-up landscape. What the server is probably most well-known for, however is its map that, since its creation has never been reset. This means that many players have left over the years leaving their mark on the server. In the beginning 2b2t was a constant flow of players, fluctuating between 10 and 80 players over the years. In June 2016 however, things changed when TheCampingRusher uploaded his very first video. The server has been utilized by a variety of other YouTubers making 2b2t an extremely popular site. In 2022, the server constantly reaches over 1000 players in the peak hours, and it doesn't seem like that number will decrease anytime soon. These servers are not the only servers dating back to 2011, however other servers are as well.
